Success in blogging doesn't come overnight. We all know that. But how many of use can be patient enough to follow the road until seeing the light?
Today I read the article 20 of Britain's most popular online video bloggers. What I found most of these vloggers have in common is that they started their video blogs for a long time, mostly from 2008 to 2010. And until now, year 2013, they have gained huge success and, of course, a lot of money.
This fact really hit my mind. I started assessing myself and my blogging journey. Obviously I had gone through a few blogs for the past few years. Some are totally craps and some gained a small reputation. But those slightly "popular" blogs haven't even got the chance to grow further: I shut them down. At that moment (and until now), I was always feeling bored and dissatisfied with what I had and wanted to create something better, more explosive. But I forgot that it's easier to continue with the foundation I have developed than to build a whole new thing and start from zero.
If you have been following my blog, you may have seen I was at slow paced blogging because I got myself in the confusing situation I had with previous blogs.
But now I wake up! I really do! The mentioned article really makes me think a lot about the power of persistence in blogging (and probably in other things of life).
Persistence is indeed challenging because it requires a strong will and a great commitment. It requires a long time enough before a hint of success starts to show. I have never really had those traits in my blood, but it's time to change. At least for now, I will keep writing good content and trying to reach as far as possible to all prospective readers. I will train myself to be patient and persistent with what I'm doing. And the result will show!
How old are your blogs? How difficult is it for you to be committed and persistent with your blogging? Please share your thoughts!
